Furness start with a flourish

Furness Mark Lodge No 36 got the new season off to a good start with WM John Browne officiating over an advancement.
Geoff Biddulph is the latest recruit to this northerly lodge. A Project Manager with EDF at Heysham he is really looking forward to future meetings, “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself this evening. The ceremony was delightful and everyone has been both welcoming and supportive.”

Not wishing to hog the limelight John spread the workload about. He conducted the first part of the advancement with John Myers undertaking the middle section and David Sear following up at the end.

On hand to witness proceedings in his first visit to Furness Lodge as Special Representative was Stuart Brackstone. Newly appointed Grand Steward Ken Boon made sure everything ran smoothly as DC of the lodge.

With a proposition for membership made on the night and another advancement planned for the next meeting it is going to be a busy time “up north.”
